A lawsuit has been filed by a conservation group to force the federal government to bring an end to natural gas flaring by one energy company in New Mexico.

The suit by WildEarth Guardians seeks to compel the Environmental Protection Agency to correct alleged flaws in the oil company’s operating permits for two of its operations in the state’s Lea County.
