Someone had it in for the solar panels used to provide power in the city of Midland, Arkansas.
They destroyed more than $160,000 in solar panels in recent weeks. The vandalism was recently discovered and sheriff’s officers believe it occurred since February.
Midland is located south of Fort Smith, Arkansas and just east of the Oklahoma state linen.
The “white spots” depicted in the above picture destroyed at least 162 panels.
Investigators with the Sebastian County Sheriff’s office say they are confident that vandals were responsible and the damage was not caused by storms, hail or wind.
