Led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a coalition of lobbying groups wants Congress to approve the energy permitting reforms pushed by West Virginia U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin and to do so by the end of summer.
Oil and renewable energy industries are also included among the groups such as the American Petroleum Institute and the Solar Energy Industries Association reported The Hill.
The letter calls the current permitting system “the single biggest obstacle” to infrastructure buildouts in the U.S.
