Arkansas judge orders Summit against taking action against customers who filed suit

For Lawyers, Court Orders Are Meant to Be Obeyed

A Judge in Arkansas issued a court order this week preventing Summit Utilities Inc. from disconnecting gas customers after they sued the company over billing issues.

Pulaski County circuit court Judge LaTonya Honorable issued a temporary restraining order this week because she felt the lawsuit “demonstrated a likelihood of success on the merits.”

Summit responded by filing a petition to move the lawsuit to federal court.

As OK Energy Today reported last week, Summit was sued and accused of price gouging.
