Still worried about China’s COVID-19 restrictions and its decreased demand for crude oil, investors sent crude oil prices falling on Monday. But Oklahoma energy prices scored strong gains for the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude for December delivery dropped 82 cents or less than 1% to settle at $91.79 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for January delivery slipped 65 cents or less than 1% a barrel to finish the day at $97.92 on ICE Futures Europe.
December natural gas rose 54 cents or 6.50%to $6.94 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Monday produced strong gains for several Oklahoma energy companies including a 9% surge for Mammoth Energy, 6% for PHX Minerals, and a 4% for SandRidge Energy.
But LSB Industries suffered a nearly 14% loss for the day.
