The latest rig report by Enverus Foundations showed an increase in rig activity in the Anadarko Basin. The report showed a gain of three rigs in the past week to a total of 83.
Nationwide, Enverus reported the U.S. rig count rose by 11 in the last week to a total of 894 as of Oct. 26.
The count is flat in the last month, but up 36% in the last year. All numbers discussed are weekly peaks to avoid the sometimes wide variability of daily numbers.
All major regions saw increases in active rigs, with the Anadarko Basin adding three rigs to reach 83 and the Permian up by two at 331, equaling its 2022 high.
The Gulf Coast (121 rigs), Appalachian Basin (57), Williston Basin (43) and DJ Basin (23) gained a rig each.
