Already one of the more successful oil and gas companies with its drilling projects in Kingfisher County, Ovintiv Inc. added a fifth well to its most recent major efforts.

The Winters 1709 3h-31xx, located at 18 17N 9W, a site in northern Kingfisher County, was completed April 21 of this year with production of 1,823 barrels of oil a day and 2,036b Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 24,494 feet in the Mississippian following a spudding in November 2021.

It makes the fifth well drilled on the site located about 5 miles southwest of the town of Loyal. OK Energy Today first reported in late September the completion of three Rosia wells at the same site with production of about 4,000 barrels of oil a day. A week later, Ovintiv filed a fourth completion report on a well at the same site, the  Winters 1709 2h-31xx, as we followed up with another report of production that totaled nearly 6,000 barrels of oil a day from the five sister wells.

Now the company filed a completion report on the fifth well and that makes total production approaching 7,800 barrels of oil a day.
