Ovintiv keeps finding major producing wells in Kingfisher County

4-well Ovintiv site has production or more than 6,300 barrels of oil a day  – Oklahoma Energy Today

 

Ovintiv USA Inc., the company with a growing reputation of finding big producing wells in Oklahoma’s STACK play did it again.

It recently filed completion reports on three wells drilled on a single pad with combined production approaching nearly 4,000 barrels of oil a day.

Natural gas production from the Rosia wells in northern Kingfisher County came to more than 7,000 Mcf a day.

Located 5 miles southwest of the town of Loyal, (18 17N 9W ), the Rosia 1709 2h-18x was the largest producer with 1,398 barrels of oil a day and 2,782 Mcf of natural gas. Completed in April of this year, the well had a drilled depth of 19,646 feet in the Mississippian following an October 2021 spud date.

The Rosia 1709 4h-18x was the second largest producer at 1,288 barrels of oil a day and 2,036 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,589 feet in the Mississippian. It had a late October 2021 spud date according to the completion report.

The third well, the Rosia 1709 5h-18x, was completed April 21 and produced 1,248 barrels of oil a day and 2,188 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 19,489 feet, also in the Mississippian following a late October spud date according to the completion report.

Do the math. That’s combined daily crude oil production of 3,934 barrels.
