For a second consecutive day on Tuesday, crude oil prices recorded significant gains as did most Oklahoma energy stocks.
The gain in crude came a day before an anticipated large cut in crude oil output from the OPEC+ producer group.
West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery went up $2.89 or nearly 3.5% before settling at $86.52 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for December delivery increased 3% or $2.94 to finish at $91.80 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
November natural gas rose 37 cents or nearly 6% to $6.84 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks responded with major gains including 7% increases for Helmerich & Payne, Laredo Petroleum and NGL Energy Partners.

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 3.35 at 95.27 – change 3.64%
