At least one oil and gas group plans to appeal a Wyoming federal judge’s decision that ordered a reconsideration of the government’s oil and gas leases in Montana and North Dakota—an order that was a settlement in a lawsuit brought by environmental groups.
The Western Energy Alliance indicated it will challenge the ruling “based on the misapplication” of the National Environmental Policy Act said a spokesman for the group reported the Casper Star Tribune.
