Crude in storage is unchanged at Cushing hub

The Cushing oil hub has stopped its crude supply slide as new figures show the amount in storage as of the first of July was the same as a week earlier.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported Cushing held 21.3 million barrels of oil as of July 1, the same amount reported on June 24.

Prior to July 1, the amount of crude in storage had slipped on a weekly basis.

A year ago, the hub held 39.6 million barrels of crude according to the EIA.
