West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery settled up 48 cents at $105.17 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for July delivery managed a 44 cent climb before finishing at $107.58 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas rose 24 cents to $7.48 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks had a “ho hum” trading day on Monday with no standout gains or losses.
Other energy stocks were mixed in the day’s trading according to the Texas Energy Report including a 6% gain for Occidental Petroleum.
