Energy companies Contango Oil & Gas Co. and Novo Oil & Gas Northern Delaware, LLC have been fined more than $1 million by the state of New Mexico for failing to comply with regulations.
The state Oil Conservation Division issued the combined penalties reported the Santa Fe New Mexican.
