It didn’t take former SandRidge CEO and President Carl Giesler Jr long to find a new job after resigning last week.
The same day his resignation took effect on Friday, Southwestern Energy announced his appointment as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Giesler’s appointment is effect July 19 for the company headquartered in Spring, Texas.
Southwestern is considered among the largest producers of natural gas and natural gas liquids in the U.S.
Geislser took over as CEO at SandRidge in April 2020 after previously serving as the CEO and Director of Jones Energy Inc. He earlier was CEO at Glacier Oil and Gas.
In announcing his resignation, SandRidge stated it was not the result of any disagreement with the company or any matter relating to the company’s operations.
The company also said he resigned in order to pursue another career opportunity.
