Crude oil prices couldn’t hold the grounds they gained in a Wednesday rally that saw Brent crude reach its highest mark since May 20, 2019.
West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery, a day after settling above $70 a barrel continued to rise and hit $70.62, the highest since Oct. 17, 2018 before it fell 9 cents and finished the day at $69.96.
Brent crude futures for August delivery rose 1% on Tuesday and hit $72.83 earlier in the day on Wednesday before settling unchanged at $72.22 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
July natural gas was unchanged at $3.13 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. had the biggest gain of the day among Oklahoma energy stocks. Its shares gained 9.92% on a 65 cent jump to finish the day at $7.20.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP rose 6 cents for a 1.52% gain to $4.
Chesapeake Energy fell 8 cents for a 0.14% loss to $55.43.
Cimarex Energy Co. finished up 75 cents at $71.60 for a 1.06% loss.
Continental Resources Inc. dropped 44 cents for a 1.23% loss to $35.46.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP rose 20 cents to reach s$2.56 and record a gain of 8.57%.
Devon Energy Corp fell 92 cents for a 2.98% loss to $29.93.
Enable Midstream Partners LP gained 0.11% on a 1 cent increase to $9.31.
Gulfport Energy Operating Corp. gained 1.91% as shares increased $1.18 and settled at $62.97.
Helmerich & Payne Inc. dropped 1 cent to $32.88 for a loss of 0.030%.
LSB Industries, Inc. closed up 4 cents at $7.20 for a 0.56% gain.
Magellan Midstream Partners, LP gained 1.60% as shares rose 82 cents and closed at $52.05.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc. went up 4 cents for a 1.06% gain to $3.83.
Matrix Service Co rose 9 cents to settle at $11.05 with a 0.82% gain.
NGL Energy Partners LP finished up 2 cents at $2.28 with a 0.88% gain.
OGE Energy Corp. rose 44 cents for a 1.28% gain to $34.48.
ONE Gas Inc closed at $76.66 with a 97 cent increase and a 1.28% gain.
ONEOK lost 1.69% as shares fell 94 cents to close at $54.84.
Ovintiv Inc. dropped 80 cents for a 2.54% loss to $30.95.
PHX Minerals Inc slipped 6 cents to $3.39 for a 1.74% loss.
SandRidge Energy fell 26 cents for a 4.02% loss to $6.20.
Unit Corporation closed down 24 cents at $16 for a 1.48% loss.
Williams Companies Inc. finished the day down 4 cents at $28.13 and a 0.14% loss.
