OCC staffers prepare for annual review of storage rules

Regulators adopt changes to rules of petroleum storage tanks – Oklahoma Energy Today

Tuesday was the deadline for questions and comments to be submitted at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s June 8 Petroleum Storage Tank Division industry roundtable meeting.

The meeting, set for that Tuesday at 2 p.m. is part of the PSTD’s annual summer time review of its rules. Division leaders say they want to be more transparent and collaborative with the industry in a move to discuss rules that are working well and those that might need improvements.

In announcing the meeting, the division also said staff members are working this year to eliminate what they feel are outdated rules. The PSTD had asked industry representatives to submit their questions and comments by Tuesday so staff can be prepared to discuss them.

At this time the meeting is scheduled to occur virtually over the Microsoft Teams platform, but further notification will occur should the meeting location/format change, according to the PSTD announcement.
