Farm Bureau leader fights ’eminent domain’ for Grainbelt Express Transmission Line

 

The planned Grain Belt Express which is designed to carry electricity from Southwest Kansas wind farms through Missouri and to Illinois is being attacked by the President of the Missouri Farm Bureau.

Writing in a Missouri newspaper, Garrett Hawkins said the use of eminent domain for the construction of the transmission line sets a very dangerous precedent. He also said it makes it easier for Missouri to become the transmission superhighway for the Green New Deal.
