The latest research from BLM, the average hourly mean wage for line workers nationally was $35.78 in 2020. The annual mean wage of power line installers in Oklahoma, as of May 2020 ranged from $76,360 to $85,510.
Oregon linemen had an annual mean wage of $99,040. The second highest state was Hawaii where installers and repairers have an hourly mean wage of $46.53 and a yearly mean wage of $96,780.
Those in Connecticut rank third with an hourly mean wage of $46.14 and a yearly mean wage of $95,970.
Massachusetts linemen rank fourth highest with an annual mean wage of $95,450.
Linemen in Alaska where the weather is usually much colder have an annual mean wage of $95,210. They rank the fifth highest state for line worker pay.
