The Sierra Club’s Freedom of Information legal loss this past week by the U.S. Supreme Court also happened to be the first time that new Justice Amy Coney Barrett authored the ruling.
The Club had been in a legal battle to obtain documents which detailed how the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2014 reached a decision on an environmental regulation related to power plants.
The Justice wasn’t alone in ruling against the Sierra Club. The decision was on a 7-2 ruling according to Reuters.
