Enel Green Power, already the largest wind farm operator in Oklahoma has begun construction on its latest wind project not far from the Oklahoma state line in Texas.
The 79-wind turbines that will make up the Azure Sky wind and storage farm will be located in Throckmorton County located southwest of Wichita Falls. It is considered the first large-scale hybrid project to integrate wind and battery storage at one site, reported Energy Global.
Power from the 350 MW project will be sold to Kellogg Company.
