Well completions trickle in to OK regulators

They aren’t large wells by any means, but the small producers reported this week to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission indicate a few completion reports are still being filed. And in one case, it apparently shows a company can only sit so long on an uncompleted well before it has to do something.

Chisholm Oil and Gas Operating LLC filed a report on the Buffalo Heifer 18-10-32 well located at 5 17N 10W in Blaine County, a site about 2 miles northeast of the town of Hitchcock.

The well had production of 203 barrels of oil a day and 502 Mcf of natural gas. It had a January 2019 spud date with completion in March 2019 from a depth of 14,269 feet in the Mississippi Lime.

Continental Resources completed another of its wells drilled in the area about 3 miles northeast of the city of Chickasha in Grady County. The Healey 2-13-12xhw,located at 13 7N 6W, produced 148 barrels of oil a day and 330 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 20,003 feet in the Woodford formation.

The Healey had a spud date of June 2019 but completion wasn’t made until Feb. 4, 2020.
