WPX Energy Buying Former Restaurant in Downtown Tulsa

Tulsa’s WPX Energy apparently is in the process of moving offices.  As News on 6 reported, the energy company is under contract to purchase a building in the downtown area for possible expansion of company headquarters.

WPX is purchasing a former Spaghetti Warehouse restaurant in the 200 block of East Matthew B. Brady street in the Tulsa Arts District. The restaurant closed in March 2017.

The office expansion comes after the company reported an unaudited first-quarter 2018 net loss of $30 million or 7-cents a share on a diluted basis. The company said the loss was driven by $69 million in net losses associated with its hedge book resulting from higher forward oil prices.
