Rainfall not enough to stop growth of drought

More rainfall is projected across the state in the next day or so adding to amounts that Oklahoma received in the past 30 days. But the drought is still lurking in the state.

The Oklahoma Mesonet showed southeast Oklahoma has benefitted the most in the past month with more than four inches of rain in some areas.

Despite the rainfall, the drought outlook is not good for Oklahoma and the western part of the nation.
