Lower OG&E summer cooling bills

The more than 900,000 customers served by Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company are being notified their average residential bills are doing DOWN this summer.

The notification in monthly bills explained the decrease will amount to 9% and as a result, the average summer monthly bill will be $14.75 lower than last summer.

Last summer, as temperatures were around the 100-degree range, OG&E reached out to help customers during what was called Home Energy Aid Month and announced new utility bill assistance funding which amounted to resources to support customers who needed extra help. Kelli Hayward Walsh, OG&E’s Community Outreach and Engagement Manager said in July, “Through our nonprofit partnerships and grants, bill assistance programs and energy-saving tools, we’re committed to standing by our customers and helping them keep the lights on.”

Below is the official announcement to customers.
