Crude oil supplies fall at Cushing Hub and across the U.S.

 

Crude oil supplies in storage at Oklahoma’s Cushing Hub and across the U.S. fell in the most recent reporting period according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Cushing’s total fell 700,000 barrels from 25.7 million barrels recorded the week of April 25 to the 25 million barrels as of the week of May 2, 2025. Cushing remains 10.3 million barrels less than a year ago.

The U.S. total, reported the EIA, declinded 2 million barrels during the same time period, slipping from 440.4 million barrels the week of April 25 to 438.4 million barrels a week later. The nation’s total amount of crude oil in storage remains more than 21 million barrels less than a year ago.
