US crude oil supplies slipped in most recent reporting period

 

 

The latest report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration shows the nation’s crude oil stocks fell 2.7 millon barrels while there was a gain at the Cushing Hub in Oklahoma.

The EIA stated that as of the week of April 25, the U.S. crude stocks totaled 440.4 million barrels, down from the 443.1 million barrels recorded as of the week of April 18, 2025. The latest total is also nearly 18 million barrels below the amount recorded the week of April 26, 2024.

Cushing’s total of crude oil in storage was 25.7 million in the most recent reporting week, up 700,000 barrels from the 25.0 million barrels recorded the week of April 18. In late March, the Cushing Hub held only 22.7 million barrels.

A year ago, Cushing’s total of crude stocks was 33.5 million barrels.
