When it comes to fighting wind farms in Oklahoma, not every landowner is against them.
As KTUL TV News recently reported, some landowners want the additional income from wind turbines being built on their land. They do not support Rep. Trey Caldwell’s HB 2751, which would impose a setback of 2 1/2 times the fall down height of a turbine from the property line or a quarter mile from an occupied dwelling, whichever is greater. The measure won support in two House committees but has not been put before the full House.
