Nation’s crude stocks increase again

 

Crude oil stocks increased in the past week at Oklahoma’s Cushing Hub and across the U.S. according to a government report issued Thursday.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported the Cushing Hub saw an increase of 1.5 million barrels of oil. On Feb. 7, it maintained 21.8 million barrels but the total increased to 23.3 million barrels by the week of Feb. 14. Since the end of January, Cushing’s total in crude oil increased 2.4 million barrels. It held 20.9 million barrels as of Jan. 31.

The U.S.  total increased 4.6 million as of the week of Feb. 14, moving from 427.9 million on Feb. 7 to 432.5 million on the 14th. The gain was even much more since Jan. 31, 2025 when the U.S. storage totaled 423.8 million barrels. It represents a gain of 8.7 million barrels.
