Oklahoma’s crude oil production increased in October

 

Oil production in Oklahoma increased from September to October of 2024, according to a monthly report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, but the total was nearly 6% below a year ago.

The EIA released its monthly report this week and it showed Oklahoma’s crude oil production for October 2024 was 393,000 barrels a day. In September, the production was 389,000 barrels a day, resulting in a 0.8% gain for October.

However, the October production was far below the 416,000 barrels a day in October 2023, which figures to a 5.7% decline.

The U.S. October 2024 production grew to 13,457,000 barrels of oil a day, 2% more than the 13,198,000 barrels in September. The October 2024 production was 2.3% more than October 2023 when production was 13,149,000 barrels of crude oil a day.

Texas produced 5,855,000 barrels a day in October or 1% more than in September. It was also 4.8% more than October a year earlier.

New Mexico’s October production was 2,084,000 barrels a day, 15.5% more than 12 months earlier.

North Dakota’s production was 1,161,000 barrels a day in October or 7.4% less than October 2023.
