OGE rate hike to be considered by Oklahoma regulators

 

Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners could sign off on the latetst rate hike requested by Oklahoma Gas and Electric….the $126.6 million increase that originally started as a $332.5 million increase filed last year.

Commissioners will meet Wednesday to consider the issue (PUD2023-000087) that saw several consumer groups oppose the original request for a nearly 14% increase and force a settlement for the lower figure. Instead of another $19.02 per month for a typical residential customer, the new rate, if approved, could result in a 6.6% increase or $9.58 more a month.

The remainder of the Wednesday agenda includes the daily signing agenda docket which consists of several oil field cases,

Agenda item number six will be a possible vote on a proposed order remanding a case to an Administrative Law Judge involving complainant Portia Trotter against AT&T.

A seventh item will be a proposed final order to dismiss a case against OG&E by Paulette Legg.

Commissioners will also be briefed by the Transportation Divison on activity for motor carrier enforcement, ports of entry, and weigh stations, including the number of vehicles processed and screened, the dollar amounts, numbers, and types of citations issued recently and comparisons to  prior periods, and the base jurisdictions involved as listed by state, to be presented by

There will also be discussion on agency financial activity and possible consideration of FY 2024, FY 25 and FY 2026 budgets.
