The workover rig site where four workers were hurt in an explosion earlier this week near the Grady County community of Bradley was owned and operated by Red Rocks Oil & Gas Operating based in Oklahoma City.
The company released a statement, according to News 9 TV, and said the site was the Newby 2 Well and crews were pulling pipe when the well unexpectedly ignited.
” Four men who are employed by two Red Rocks Oil and Gas Operating contractors were taken to a local hospital. Two of them remain hospitalized. While we continue to investigate, our prayers are steadfast with and for all affected by this tragic incident, especially the injured men and their families.”
The site was on County Street 2920 north of State Highway 19.
