The alleged drunken incident that prompted Oklahoma Corporation Commission Chairman Todd Hiett to go public last week with his admission of an alcohol affliction was more than what we were initially led to believe.
Now there is a report that it involved Hiett allegedly groping a man and putting his hand on a man’s groin area at a hotel lobby bar during a conference he attended last month in Minnesota.
The Oklahoman’s report was based on documents from the Kansas Corporation Commission and contained the accounts of two witnesses to the June 9 incident.
It also prompted Hiett to issue another statement about the incident, telling the Oklahoman, “Clearly, I was not in my right mind.”
“I was horrified,” the witness wrote in her account, reported The Oklahoman.
“I recognized how horrible and awkward this situation was for (the man.) I thought, OK, you have just witnessed a sexual assault and we need to get (the man) out of here.”
