Tuesday’s crude oil prices fell less than 1% as fears of supply disruptions caused by Hurricane Beryl eased during the day.
Reuters reported earlier on Monday, WTI rose $1 to $84.38 a barrel on fears Beryl might have a wider impact in offshore oil production areas in the U.S.-regulated northern Gulf of Mexico as U.S. demand for motor fuels is increasing.
West Texas Intermediate crude finished down 57 cents or 0.68% at $82.81 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark finished 36 cents down or 0.42% at $86.24 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
