Oklahoma City leaders plan to eventually annex more than one thousand acres on the city’s southwest side to create what is being called a “mega-site” to attract big businesses and create jobs.
The Oklahoman reports the city council approved the annexation of the first 320 acres this week.
The president of the Alliance for Economic Development, Kenton Tsoodle, says the Oklahoma City area has been missing chances to get major developers to come there when competing with other markets.
