A new report suggests oil production will remain steady in the Anadarko Basin in June while its natural gas production will fall.

The report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed that of all the major oil and gas producing areas in the country, the Permian Basin will see the largest gain in predicted production.

The EIA anticipates oil production to increase nationwide in the coming month. However, natural gas production will see a decline in most of the major plays, seeing gains only in the Bakken and the Permian Basins.

Drops in predicted natural gas production are expected in some of the country’s gas producing regions including the Appalachia and the Haynesville.

The Haynesville, an area where some Oklahoma City energy firms are focused in their production efforts, will see a drop of 267 million cubic feet a day.
