Supertanker oil port approved off coast of Texas

A proposed deepwater oil port off the coast of Texas won approval this week from the U.S. Maritime Administration.

Houston’s Enterprise Products Partners intends to construct the Sea Port Oil Terminal, making it the fourth in the nation to load supertankers and improve record oil exports to markets in Asia and Europe.

As Bloomberg reported, the nation’s daily oil exports more than doubled over the past five years.
