Crude prices made few changes in Monday’s trading

Following a 6% gain in prices last week, crude oil futures took a break on Monday and had little change while Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains for the day.

Concerns about interest rates and global demand were blamed for the stall in prices.

West Texas Intermediate crude gained 8 cents or 0.1% to close at $76.92 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was the highest WTI close since Jan. 30 and also put the contract up for the sixth straight day.

Global benchmark Brent crude fell 19 cents or 0.2% and closed at $82 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

March natural gas fell 8 cents to $1.77 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains for the day including a 3% boost for ONE Gas.

The Texas Energy Report had other energy stocks recording gains as well.

Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) up 0.28 at 26.51 – change 1.06%

EOG Resources (EOG) up 1.80 at 112.85 – change 1.62%

Exxon Mobil (XOM) up 1.40 at 103.17 – change 1.37%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.17 at 16.78 – change 1.02%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.20 at 22.65 – change 0.89%

NOV Inc. (NOV) up 0.28 at 17.48 – change 1.62%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.56 at 58.03 – change 0.97%

Phillips 66 (PSX) down 1.21 at 144.44 – change 0.84%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 2.12 at 229.34 – change 0.93%

Tellurian Inc. (TELL) down 0.03 at 0.62 – change 4.23%

Valero (VLO) down 0.53 at 142.53 – change 0.38%
