What a week of crazy weather in Oklahoma.
Temperatures on Monday could hit 85 to 86 degrees in central Oklahoma and do it again on Tuesday before taking an estimated 33-35 degree plunge Tuesday leading to highs on Wednesday in the low 50s.
But there is a caution about wildfire dangers in the western half of the state.
The Forestry Division of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture issued a fire danger that will ramp up Monday “presenting the highest fire danger concern so far this season.”
The cold front is expected to hit late Tuesday and Forestry officials say they are still concerned about critical fire weather because of dry conditions and dry vegetation in the Panhandle and the western counties where the danger is “high.”
