Customers of Public Service Co. of New Mexico started seeing lower electricity bills as of Monday this week.
The utility said bills were expected to decline by nearly $6.50 a month on average, an estimate based on an annualized monthly estimate for the average residential cusstoer using 600 kilowatt-hours a month, stated the utility.
The Albuquerque Journal reports the lower bills are expected following a decision by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission that the utility should decrease its customer rates. Not exactly what the utility asked of the commission.
