While crude oil prices were mostly unchanged in Tuesday’s trading, it also proved to be something of a strong day in trading for Oklahoma energy stocks. One firm, Empire Petroleum, saw a 22% gain for the day.
Analysts suggest the steady outcome in crude oil prices was perhaps due to an easing about the fighting in Gaza.
West Texas Intermediate crude was unchanged and remained at $78.26 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude lost 5 cents to $82.47 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
December natural gas fell 9 cents to $3.11 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Empire Petroleum stood out among Oklahoma energy stocks with its 22% gain for the day. It came a day after the Tulsa company announced growing optimism over its recently announced drilling plan in North Dakota.
What about other energy stocks? They too made gains for the day, according to the Texas Energy Report.
