Legislators focus on water concerns in Oklahoma

As work is underway for the approaching Oklahoma Governor’s Water Conference, Oklahoma legislators were told this week they should do more to develop the underground storage of water in the state.

It was the advice of at least one university professor who spoke at an interim study  on underground aquifers. Todd Halihan, a professor and interim director of the Boone Pickens School of Geology at Oklahoma State University spoke to members of the House Natural Resources Committee.

His testimony came as preparations are underway for the approaching Governor’s Water Conference to be held next month.
