Crude oil prices wrapped up the week with gains of nearly 3% on Friday as worries grew that the fighting in Israel and Gaza might lead to a wider conflict in the Middle East.
At the same time, Oklahoma energy stocks experiences losses of 2% to 3%.
West Texas Intermediate crude went up $2.33 or 2.85 and closed at $85.54 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, rose $2.55 or 2.9% and settled at $90.48 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe. For Brent, its premium over WTI reached its highest level since March and that makes it more attractive for energy companies to send ships to the U.S. to get crude for export.

Oklahoma energy stocks finished the week with a day filled with losses—some feelilng the effects of 2% to 3% declines.
