Nearly two months after Chesapeake Energy Corporation announced the $700 million sale of its remaining Eagle Ford assets, the Oklahoma City oil and gas firm plans to release third quarter financial results at the end of the month.
The company will make known the results after the market close on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. A conference call will be held the next day, Wednesday, November 1 at 8 a.m. Central Time.
At the end of the second quarter, Chesapeake recorded net cash from operating activities of $515 million and net income of $391 million or $2.73 per diluted share. Its adjusted net income was $92 million or 64 cents a share.
The company also completed nearly $125 million in share repurchases during the quarter.
It is unknown how the August sale of 42,000 acres and nearly 540 wells in the Eagle Ford play will impact the third quarter results and whether it is too soon to be reflected in the upcoming report.
