Congresswoman wants to impeach Energy Secretary Granholm for lying to a House Committee

When Jennifer Granholm went before a House Committee chaired by Oklahoma Congressman Frank Lucas, to be considered for Energy Secretary, she claimed she did not own any individual stocks.

Now she faces an impeachment inquiry led by New York Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney for giving false testimony. Tenney announced her intent during a hearing this week of the House Science and Technology Committee.

“Since taking office in January of 2021, Secretary Granholm has violated the Hatch Act multiple times,” Tenney remarked during the hearing. “She owned Proterra stock while her boss, President Biden, repeatedly promoted the company. Her husband owned Ford stock while she personally promoted the companies’ work with official resources.”
