Chinese solar giant, Trina Solar Co. plans to build a $200 million manufacturing plant in Texas and the announcement comes just weeks after the U.S.. accused the panel supplier of bypassing tariffs.
Production is set to begin in 2024 as the plant will produce about 5 gigawatts of panels a year.
Trina is the latest Chinese solar giant to announce plans to build or expand factories in the US since the IRA was passed last year.
