Customers of Evergy, including the city of Wichita, aren’t the only ones who believe a $218 million rate hike proposed Evergy isn’t justified.
Now the Kansas Corporation Commission agrees. Regulators announced this week its staff concluded Evergy should not raise rates, but rather lower them, especially in the Kansas City area. The staff also recommended there be slight increases in rates for the rest of the state.
