Governor Kevin Stitt is asking Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to take the lead in workforce development and has nominated him to be the next Secretary of Workforce Development. Pinnell’s focus will be working with the Department of Education and Department of Commerce to develop a workforce pipeline.
If confirmed by the Oklahoma Senate next legislative session, Pinnell would step away from Secretary of Tourism to take on the duties as Secretary of Workforce Development according to the McCarville Report.
