While the Wynnewood refinery in Oklahoma is fighting the EPA over biofuels production mandates, the EPA is hit with a lawsuit filed by an environmental group which contends the US biofuel program is killing endangered species and harming the environment.

CVR Refinery recently indicated it would fight the EPA’s rejection of waivers for the biofuels mandates that applied to some of the nation’s smaller biofuels refineries. Now the Environmental Protection Agency is the target of a new federal lawsuit filed by the Center for Biological Diversity.

The Center contends the EPa failed to consider impacts on endangered species as require by law reported The Guardian.
