3,100 barrels a day from 4 Ovintiv wells in Kingfisher County

Just as we suspected, the three-well single-pad project by Ovintiv Inc. reported in Kingfisher County was really a four-well single-pad project located one mile north of Okarche. It turned into four wells producing more than 3,100 barrels of oil a day.

A fourth completion report was filed Thursday, one day after the three first reports were filed on Wednesday. The Sarah 1507 5h-29, drilled on the same pad at 29 15N 7W, produced 467 barrels of oil a day and 1,184 Mcf of natural gas.

Combined with the first three wells, it resulted in production of 3,157 barrels of oil a day for Ovintiv. The latest well had a drilled depth of 14,349 feet after it was spud in September 2022, according to the completion report. No true vertical depth was reported.

The two Bornboomer wells are located at 31 16N 9W, or 12 miles east of Watonga. The Bornboomer 31_30-16n-9w 4hx produced 427 barrels of oil a day and 2,272 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 20,268 feet. The completion report showed a true vertical depth of 9,446 feet. The well was spud January 1, 2023 and completed April 26.

The Bornboomer 31_30-16n-9w 5hx produced 715 barrels of oil a day and 3,221 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 20,033 feet. Spud on January 19, 2023 and completed in late April, the well had a true vertical depth of 9,487 feet.
