Crude oil prices made slight gains in Monday’s trading as analysts explained investors balanced their worries about global demand following the political instability in Russia.
At the same time, most Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains too.
West Texas Intermediate rose 21 cents or 0.3% to close at $69.37 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude finished up 33 cents or 0.5% at $74.81 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
July natural gas rose 6 cents to $2.79 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Monday saw most Oklahoma energy stocks make moderate gains for the day of 1% to 2% while NGL Energy Partners recorded a 5% jump. A few stocks recorded losses including Empire Petroleum with a 6% fall for the day
